BRANCH PICK-UP PROGRAM 2024:
Message from the Worth Township Highway District, 11555 S. Mayfield in Alsip.
(708) 389-6644 www.WorthTownship.com; Email: Highway@WorthTownship.com
The Worth Township Highway District is pleased, once again, to offer Branch Pick-up. We know the residents benefit greatly from this service. Please keep in mind this program is for removal of light pruning and trimming of trees, not tree removal. We will not pick up contractor-generated brush.
Requirements:
1. No piles larger than 4ft. high by 8ft. wide. Anything larger will be left behind, and you will be responsible for the removal by your Waste Management company.
2. Branches are to be placed in the parkway and not on streets or in ditches, with cut ends facing the street. Do not place any branches on empty lots, as this violates 'no dumping' regulations.
3. Keep branches as long as possible. Do not cut into pieces. Diameter up to 6 inches will be accepted.
4. No logs, evergreen clippings or rotten wood will be picked up.
5. Brush must be free of stumps, root balls, dirt, stones, metal, old wood, construction materials and other trash.
6. Leaves, twigs, clippings, grass cuttings or vines should be put in yard bags to be picked up by your Waste Recycling company.
7. Once we have been down your street, we will not be back until the next scheduled pick-up.
Due to the equipment and manpower availability and the amounts of branches being picked up, the Highway District cannot deviate from the schedule.
Please ensure that branches are out by 7:30am on your scheduled pickup day. This will allow for more efficiency in these pick-ups. We will adhere to the schedule, weather permitting.
2024 Branch Pickup Dates for Palos Gardens:
May 14, June 11, August 13, September 17
